Google Enters the Browser Wars

Google just released their own web browser, offering yet another alternative to IE, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Like Safari, it's built on the Webkit stack running a homebrewed "V8" engine that is supposed to be like running java on nitrogen.
I just started messing around with the browser, but so far, I am impressed. Initial impressions:
Quick as lightening. Google pages like gmail, youtube, and spreadsheets seem to load faster than ever.
Simple, intuitive UI with some novel features that add functionality without adding complexity (eg. new tabs show a "mosaic"-like selection of sites that you visit the most)

More updates later.
[EDIT]
Lifehacker has a great "first look" at Chrome and its features.
[EDIT 2]
They've [Lifehacker] also done some benchmarking.  Looks like the speed crown goes to Google's new creation.  I particularly like the Google Gears integration that can turn any webpage into a desktop app.  For example, I can launch Gmail from my desktop in a fraction of a second, instead of waiting for my Firefox to reload just to check mail.
